Deer Hunting

Wild..you've mentioned on occassion about deer and the deer lease and Im interested.

We use to belong to a deer hunting association but didnt do much hunting but we did end up with a lovely fallow hind skin my husband shot.

At the moment we're having fun collecting antlers and horns for display. I love getting odd sized cast offs because Im thinking of making things with them..I dont know what yet but ideas are coming..lol

Well, I didn't know you guys had deer there. Were they introduced into the country? Fallows were I'm sure (I think).... They were here and run freely in Tx ... I've been told the meat is good
(sweet)..... If I see one I'll harvest it, there's no season on um here in Tx... at least it was like that last year...
I'll have to check the game laws on it for this year.

All deer in Oz are introduced species.
Fallow, Red, Rusa, Chital, Hog, and Sambar.

Very interesting.. The Rusa species looks like it could've come from here.. I saw HOG and was looking for a pic of a pig...rofl [img]tongue.gif[/img]

Hog deer are lil things..with cute lil antlers..lol
